How selforganization and decision taking can go hand in hand
In self-organized teams and companies, decision-making processes play a critical role in achieving success. Effective decision-making ensures that everyone's input is valued and considered, leading to better outcomes and increased collaboration. In this talk, we draw on the expertise of Alexa Lautenbacher, who will be speaking on behalf of XITASO, a software development company. Alexa will explore ways for effective decision-making in self-organized teams and companies, focusing on three key processes: the advice process, consent, and systemic consensus. The advice process empowers team members to make decisions in their area of expertise, while the consent process ensures that decisions are made in alignment with all involved parties without slowing down the process by seeking unanimous opinions. Systemic consensus helps to take decisions with various available options with the minimum possible resistance. Alexa will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each process and provide practical guidance on how to implement them effectively in different contexts. She will also share insights from XITASO's experience as a successful self-organized company.
