Session
One dashboard to rule them all: Cloud-native monitoring for on-prem workloads
Our teams have embraced Azure for new workloads — but the on-premises VMs running critical Windows services, IIS application pools, and scheduled tasks? Those were still getting monitored the old way: RDP in, open Services.msc, check, repeat.
In this session, we'll walk you through how we replaced that manual process with a unified, cloud-native health dashboard — built entirely on Azure Arc, Log Analytics, and Azure Workbooks. No new on-prem infrastructure. No additional licensing. No agents beyond what Azure Arc already gives you.
We'll tell the story of why we built it, the architecture decisions we made along the way, and the gotchas we ran into — then go deep on the implementation. You'll leave with a clear understanding of how Data Collection Rules and custom Log Analytics tables work together, how to build an interactive Workbook that your whole team can use, and everything you need to replicate this setup in your own environment before the week is out.
