You need to deploy both but why does everyone only focus on the application code? Because it’s easy to do application code deployment. Database code deployment is HARD.

In this session Ben will show you how to include your database changes into your VSTS/TFS release pipelines using SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) and Entity Framework Migrations. Ben will also discuss his undying hatred of stored procedures and he’ll almost definitely run his mouth about why he thinks relational databases becoming unnecessary.
