Mapping the Invisible: Cracking the Code of Tech Organizations through Organizational Analysis

In the complex world of modern tech organizations, value often hides in plain sight. How do you uncover the real levers of performance and unlock an organization’s hidden potential? This keynote walks you through Stellar Work’s proven approach to organizational analysis—an approach that combines rigorous data with deep human insight.

Told through the lens of a transformative engagement with Ford’s Customer Experience (CX) department, we’ll explore how we mapped their organizational landscape, measured their flow, and revealed bottlenecks and enablers they didn’t know existed. Along the way, we’ll use KEDE to understand developer effectiveness, Wardley Mapping to locate strategic plays, and flow metrics to gauge true delivery capability. We’ll ground the story with DORA and SPACE metrics to complete the picture. You’ll walk away with a playbook to analyze your own organization—one that makes complexity visible, actionable, and ultimately, solvable.

This session is a case study about the transformation at Ford Customer Experience. Its a classical talk given using a Powerpoint slide deck with real data and example from our work. The target audience are engineering managers and disciplinary leaders who are keen on helping their teams and departments grow and improve.
