In Central Africa, the digital divide is a significant challenge to economic and social development. Only a small fraction of the population has access to reliable and affordable internet, and even fewer have the skills and knowledge to use it effectively. This leaves many people behind, unable to participate fully in the digital economy and society.
This talk will explore the challenges faced by Central Africa tech communities in overcoming the digital divide. It will discuss the root causes of the problem, as well as the various initiatives underway to address it. The talk will also highlight the opportunities that lie ahead for Central Africa's tech sector, and the role that the international community can play in supporting its development.
