The landscape of artificial intelligence has been evolving rapidly and the law has finally begun to catch up with this new technology. U.S. states have been leading the way with updating comprehensive privacy laws to address the use of artificial intelligence or enacting laws specific to the use of artificial intelligence. Although there is a patchwork of artificial intelligence law, that has not stopped lawsuits alleging privacy and security violations from the use of artificial intelligence. This session will help professionals understand the evolving legal, regulatory, privacy, cybersecurity, and litigation risks associated with artificial intelligence and learn practical strategies for developing an AI governance framework that supports innovation while reducing organizational exposure.
