Session
The lost art of keeping a secret
Once upon a time, developers guarded passwords like dragons hoarding gold. Today? We’d rather not have them at all. In this session, we’ll uncover the lost art of keeping a secret—by never storing one in the first place.
Join us as we journey into the passwordless world of Azure, exploring how to build secure solutions using managed identities, Key Vault, and other tools that make secrets disappear (without the help of a magician). We’ll peel back the curtain to see how managed identities actually work under the hood—how tokens are issued, who trusts whom, and why your code can finally stop pretending to be a password manager.
If you’ve ever inherited a “temporary” client secret that’s old enough to vote, or lost sleep over key rotations gone wrong, this session will show you how to let go of your secrets—and sleep better for it.
