In this session I'll make a deep dive into the performance metrics of the Azure Synapse Serverless SQL pool and show the different usage scenarios for using CETAS, Views and raw Parquet files.

The session takes off on common knowledge of the Synapse Serverless SQL pool and how to use Pipelines and datamodellering. We dive directly into the engine and try to figure out how we can get the best out of the engine.

We will look into the different performance pros and cons and discuss the usage scenarios between the two approaches in a modern data platform.
