Giving and receiving feedback is essential to growth, but it’s often one of the most challenging aspects of team dynamics, especially in fast-paced environments like startups. Drawing from my experiences in theatre, education, tech, and the startup world, this talk will explore how to foster a culture of constructive feedback in creative and tech spaces. In both theatre and startups, feedback is frequent and essential, often under tight deadlines, which makes it crucial to communicate effectively and adapt quickly. We’ll cover techniques for delivering feedback in a way that motivates and empowers, as well as strategies for receiving feedback without defensiveness. Attendees will walk away with actionable insights into creating a supportive environment that prioritizes growth and continuous improvement.
