Teams AI: Voice, Meetings, Agents, and Endpoints Under the Hood
A technical 60-minute session on Copilot, Teams Phone, Personal Attendant, main line, Teams Phone Agent, Teams Rooms, policies and identity.
Microsoft Teams is no longer “just” meetings, chat, and telephony. With Copilot, Teams Phone Agent, Teams Personal Attendant, and AI-driven meeting experiences, the platform is moving toward a layer where meetings, calls, identity, transcription, policies, and automation are far more tightly connected than before.
In this session, we go one level deeper than the classic feature demo. We will look at how AI is starting to influence the voice architecture in Teams: resource accounts, auto attendants, call queues, mainline design, Teams Phone Agent, Copilot Studio integrations, and Personal Attendant as a personal call screener. At the same time, we connect this to the meeting side with Teams Rooms, speaker attribution, transcription, Intelligent Recap, and the endpoints that need to deliver data at a quality level AI can actually use.
We will discuss the practical design decisions: when a classic auto attendant still makes sense, when to start thinking in terms of AI agents, how this impacts the main number, which policies Teams admins need to understand, what transcription and speaker recognition mean for the security team, and why endpoints are suddenly becoming a critical part of AI quality.
