JSON: A Low-Code introduction for No-Coders

Users building solutions with the Power Platform that have no coding experience, or a limited understanding of code, are considered to be Low-Code, No-code developers. Although the Power Platform products offer drag-and-drop features that are perfectly suited for these users to quickly create basic solutions, eventually users encounter what may appear as a jumbled mess of text, numbers, and symbols.

Here is where we typically see No-Code development becoming Low-Code development, and when having a basic understanding of JSON, or JavaScript Object Notation, is extremely useful. Not only will it help to resolve errors, but users are then empowered to create more advanced solutions, thus extending the reach of their abilities within the Power Platform.

This session will cover the definition, as well as basic syntax and structure of JSON; formatting and supported data types; the role JSON plays in various applications with useable examples; tips, tricks, best practices, and additional resources for learning more.

After attending the session, attendees should have a basic understanding of JSON and its role in the Power Platform; be able to recognize and describe it in basic terms to others; and have the confidence to further explore JSON through the creation of more technical solutions using the Power Platform.
