Fantastic Power Apps are not accidental, they are designed with intention and built to age well. In this session, MVPs Cathrine Bruvold and Andrew Bibby explore what actually separates mediocre Power Apps from truly fantastic ones. Drawing on real-world experience, and plenty of our own mistakes, we share lessons learned from apps that survived and thrived, as well as those that didn’t.

Rather than focusing solely on code optimisation, we discuss and look at how to avoid common pitfalls that negatively impact performance, user experience and long-term complexity through deliberate design decisions. Learn about practical techniques for building apps more efficiently, structures for handling scalability and improving Power Apps design to be modern as well as visually appealing without sacrificing performance.

Then theory becomes practice. In the live demo, patterns to avoid are contrasted with patterns to adopt by "building an app live on stage" - brave! Common development mistakes are highlighted first, before applying the discussed principles to transform the app from decent and "working", to fantastic!
