Talk the Talk and Walk the Walk with a Living Language Lab
Many software teams work in businesses with complicated terminology - often complete languages with dialects and nuance. Domain-Driven Design guides us to define a 'Ubiquitous Language', to document it in a glossary, and to use that language in code and conversation - but this is advice more often honoured in the breach than the observance.
Language diffuses over time and becomes inconsistently applied in conversation and in code, hampering communication and denying teams the full benefits of their collaborative domain modelling.
Living documentation practices can help your teams talk the talk and walk the walk by both easing the maintenance of your business language glossaries and fostering their use in all the places that matter - code, conversations and documentation.
In this lab we will live-model a domain and craft a glossary, using modern open source tooling like Contextive that can help embed your living documentation in all the places you work.
