Building Tool-Driven AI on Azure AI Foundry with Claude and MCP

Tool integration remains one of the biggest bottlenecks in building reliable AI agents. Even with powerful models like Claude, connecting models to tools, data, and services often relies on brittle, hard-coded logic.

This session shows how the Model Context Protocol (MCP) can be used with Claude deployed via Azure AI Foundry to create clean, maintainable, and tool-driven AI systems. We will explore MCP from a developer perspective, build a minimal MCP server, and demonstrate how Claude dynamically discovers and uses tools at runtime when running on Azure.

Through code and demos, attendees will see how MCP fits naturally into Azure AI Foundry architectures and how it enables more composable, agent-ready systems on the Azure platform.

The demo uses Azure AI Foundry to host Claude and integrate MCP into an Azure-native developer workflow.
