Platform engineering requires a tight integration between people, process, and technology for success. As a result, being able to adequately measure maturity and the risks associated with your platform initiative can help you identify the work needed to make your platform healthy and sustainable through continued iteration and growth. This talk will focus on the development of a new tool aligned to the CNCF Platform Maturity Model. The survey-based tool will allow organizations to identify a prioritized set of risks to your platform initiative. The resulting risk profile will enable you to then prioritize workstreams to improve your platform initiative. While the tool is still under community development, we will share insights in to some early results with pilot organizations and uncover some of the more common pitfalls.
