This session will guide you through the history of UI customizations in SharePoint and will give you a selection of the most important out-of-the-box customization options for your modern SharePoint workspace.

In short demos, you will learn how to do basic customizations like changing themes, section or header background colors or customizing the footer area. You will also get an overview of how site designs and site scripts are working and implicit topics with indirect impact, as the role of hub sites in UI customizations or column formatting will be also covered in this session. The session will provide also an overview of the UI customization differences in SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2019.
