Visualization Best Practices
Data visualization is a powerful tool for exploring, understanding, and communicating data. However, not all visualizations are created equal. Some are clear and informative, while others are confusing and misleading. How can we design visualizations that convey our intended message and avoid common pitfalls?
In this session, you will learn the principles and best practices of data visualization, such as choosing the right chart type, using appropriate colors and scales, and avoiding clutter and distortion. You will also see examples of good and bad visualizations and learn how to critique and improve them.
Learning Objectives:
• Understand the purpose of data visualizations
• Apply the principles and best practices of data visualization to create effective and engaging charts
• Analyze and improve the quality and clarity of data visualizations
