SQL databases are great at many things, but advanced search queries are not one of them. When search workloads grow, the result is often slow user interfaces and unnecessary load and cost on the database.

In this session, Daniel Hindrikes will walk through how we started using Azure Search to offload heavy search queries. He will cover how to populate search indexes from SQL and other data sources in a reliable way, how to tune the index for better search results, and lessons learned when introducing Azure Search into a production system.
