I’ve been interviewing developers for many years, but this past year has been by far the most interesting. It turns out that roughly 1 in 3 developers now tries to cheat with AI during interviews. So what should we do about it?

In this talk, I’ll share what we’ve learned from our own experimentation — how we’ve restructured our interviews, and why we actually encourage candidates to use AI on our take-home coding challenges. Spoiler: AI-assisted coding challenges are much harder than they sound.
