Training My M365 Copilot – Making It Actually Useful
Copilot is easy to switch on.
Log in, click around, be impressed.
And then?
It writes emails that are “fine”… just not you.
Ignores your templates.
And occasionally invents its own version of your corporate style.
So yes — it’s powerful.
But it’s not personal. Yet.
This session is about fixing exactly that.
I’ll show you how to train your Microsoft 365 Copilot so it:
sounds like you (not like a very polite AI intern)
works with your real content, not made-up context
actually uses your templates, branding, and marketing assets
produces output you can use immediately (without fixing everything first)
The focus is clearly on end users:
What can you do to make Copilot work in your environment?
But we’ll also peek behind the curtain:
what admins need to set up (or can unintentionally break)
why permissions, content quality, and governance often matter more than prompting
All based on real projects – including those moments where Copilot got very creative… just not in the right way.
In the end, one thing is clear:
Copilot doesn’t magically improve.
But you can train it to get surprisingly close.
