Exploring the Art of the Possible with Connections Adaptive Card Extensions

Adaptive Card Extensions (ACEs) are SharePoint Framework (SPFx) components that allow developers to create engaging experiences that display in the Viva Connections app, in the Teams mobile clients, and in SharePoint pages. They are an excellent way for developer to create an engaging user experience helping users to achieve their goals quickly and providing access to information in a timely way. In this session, we will explore the different types of Adaptive Card Extensions and see how they can transform your organization's digital experience.

We will explore the basics of Adaptive Card Extensions, learn about the different ways to create cards from no code, low code, and using the SharePoint Framework. We will look at examples of each type of card to leave you with an understanding of what is possible. We will show demos of text based card, image based cards, cart cards, cards with dynamic data, geo-location, and mobile device interaction. We will show different ways of creating a the visual layouts including using JSON and custom React components. We will also discuss best practices for designing and implementing ACEs, ensuring they are both visually appealing and highly functional.

By the end of this session, you will have a solid understanding of the basics of Adaptive Card Extensions and the different types of cards available to you. You will understand how to leverage Viva Connections Adaptive Card Extensions to create a more connected and productive workplace.
