Despite the rich information contained in them, traditionally, logs have always been used as a last resort during production incidents. While metrics and tracing data are often proactively monitored for any anomalies, very little attention is paid to the data in logs. With its pre-trained models for the Kubernetes control plane, Rancher, and Longhorn, the Opni project empowers its users to apply AI and machine learning on the log data toward gaining valuable insights from their infrastructure. In this session, the speaker will walk through the configuration and setup of a basic Opni installation on the Rancher desktop, demonstrate a few use cases, and delve into the project's future roadmap.
