Session
Estimating the Project Lifetime: A Methodological Overview and a Practical Case
This talk will cover the concepts and techniques of project cost estimation and lifetime estimation, and how they can be applied to evaluate the impact of bugs on the project outcome. It will also present a case study of using a lifetime estimation model to estimate the failure rate and the expected cost of fixing a bug at different stages of the project life cycle. The talk will provide useful insights and tips for project managers, developers and testers who want to improve their project planning and quality assurance processes. Additionally, the talk will explore GitHub projects to compare the lifetime and cost of bugs in Java versus other programming languages, and discuss the possible factors that influence these differences.
