Session
Redefining & Resetting Fatherhood and Family Units
In today's society, the role of fathers in their children's lives is more important than ever. It is crucial for fathers to be actively involved in their children's upbringing, not only for the well-being of the child but also for the overall health and stability of our families.
Our families suffer when there is a lack of a father's presence. Children thrive when they have positive male role models who provide love, support, guidance, and stability. Research has shown that children who grow up without an active father figure are more likely to experience behavioral issues, academic struggles, and emotional challenges.
It is imperative that we redefine and reset our understanding of fatherhood and family units within the context of the justice system. We need to create systems that prioritize maintaining strong relationships between fathers and their children despite any legal barriers they may face. By doing so, we can ensure that our families thrive and our children have every opportunity for success.
This workshop will begin to unpack trauma and plant seeds. Our attention to who we truly are can help to separate truth from fiction and allow for us to walk together with others in a path toward self-actualization. Creating strategies to destroy the uninvited pressures from society.
