Plugging the Leak: Understanding Student Needs to Reduce Stop-Outs, Gaps, and Leaves

Sometimes life gets in the way of student's original educational plans. Between 2013-2018, the quantity of students who left college before graduating rose from 29 to 36 million—an increase of 22% (National Student Clearinghouse Research Center). Commonly referred to as "Stop-outs", these enrollment changes have disproportionately impacted women, low income and working students.

This session will share enrollment pattern changes and explore strategies to support retention and completion.
