Thriving in Student Affairs Professionals: An Exploration of Supporting Constructs

This session will review a quantitative explanatory study specific to student affairs professionals to better understand thriving and increase opportunities to address issues related to job satisfaction, burnout, stress, and turnover. Seligman’s (2011) model of well-being is based in positive psychology. Results suggested that student affairs professionals at the research site were generally thriving, there are ways to further support thriving throughout higher education.
