Empowering Women: To Doctorate or Not, Navigating the Doctoral Journey Decision

Have you ever considered pursuing a doctorate but talked yourself out of it? Concerns about time, money, or feelings of imposter syndrome may have held you back. If any of these resonate with you, know that you are not alone. Join us for an empowering panel discussion featuring a diverse group of women who have either earned or are currently pursuing their doctorate degrees. This session will highlight that achieving a doctorate is possible by dispelling common myths and offering insights into how these women have applied their degrees to advance their professional careers.

Panelists will share personal stories of navigating the doctoral journey while balancing various intersecting identities, from gender and race to professional roles and personal responsibilities. Their experiences will provide valuable perspectives on overcoming challenges and embracing growth throughout the process. Participants will also have the opportunity to submit their own questions for the panel, creating a safe and supportive space for open dialogue. Whether you’re actively considering a doctoral path or just curious about the process, this session aims to inspire, inform, and empower you on your educational and professional journey.
