Blueprints of Dreams: Creating Your Visioning Journey Map
How frequently do you pursue a goal without a clear vision? How often do you launch a team without co-creating a vision to guide the journey? What if you 1) start with the end in mind, 2) go from the future to the present and identify potential hurdles and responses, 3) identify your current reality, and 4) transverse from the present to the future and describe your goals and actions?
Participants can expect to gain valuable strategic planning and goal-setting skills in the Blueprints of Dreams: Creating your Visioning Journey Map (VJM) learning experience. This interactive session is where participants learn the principles of visioning and then apply them to create their VJMs. This hands-on approach reinforces learning and produces a practical tool that participants can use personally and professionally.
Using a VJM can significantly enhance the visioning process. It provides a structured yet flexible framework to explore different scenarios and options, often leading to insights and ideas that might not have been considered otherwise. This tool can be especially beneficial in a team setting, where it can help align diverse perspectives and foster a shared understanding and commitment to the goals.
The key activities of the VJM include:
1. Starting with the end in mind context.
2. Exploring Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) well-formed outcomes topic.
3. Working from the future vision to the present
4. Identifying hurdles and responses from the future to the present.
5. Traversing from the present to the future.
6. Going deeper to explore areas to increase awareness for improvements.
7. Debriefing for frequent learning.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
1. Define a future vision.
2. Identify hurdles and responses.
3. Assess your current reality.
4. Identify goals and actions.
