Forms are at the core of web development, but working with them can also be challenging. As they get more complex, they become harder to write, maintain, and validate effectively.

Server Actions is a new feature recently added to React that allows us to pass data over to the server from our forms without needing to create a dedicated API endpoint for it. However, this is just the beginning. It's now up to us to decide how to validate and store our data.

In this talk, we will explore how to properly use React Server Actions and combine them with Vest, a new breed of validation library that changes the way we handle form validation using a declarative and expressive syntax similar to testing libraries. We will discuss why form validation is so difficult and how to simplify it using Vest and Server Actions.
