Cybersecurity: It's Everyone's Responsibility

School districts have become a promising target for cybercriminals to capitalize on student data. Using phishing emails, stolen passwords, and posing online as legitimate district staff and administrators, these criminals shut down networks, disrupt learning, and hold student/staff data hostage.

Ensuring a safe learning environment requires the collaboration of the entire school community. Everyone has a part to play in reducing the risk of a cyber-attack, from virtual or in-person teachers to district superintendents. Attendees will learn strategies to ensure digital safety using the “zero-trust zone” approach and practical steps for building a robust district cybersecurity plan.
