In recent years, our applications have increasingly transformed into distributed systems, such as microservices, serverless and edge computing. This migration brings many benefits but also challenges in monitoring, tracing and logging, making what was once simple, a real headache. The creation diffusion of OpenTelemetry has made these practices now no longer tied to a single vendor but easily interchangeable. I will demo a practical example of OpenTelemetry simplifying and improving the work of troubleshooting and monitoring both traditional and cloud-native applications.
