Session

Fabric Adoption Planning for Power BI Parents (FAP)

Concept
Are you, or is your department, responsibe and enthousiastic for Power BI, and looking for Microsoft Fabric to expand the family, and welcoming new features to your organization?! Maybe then this session is something for you! As manager, administrator, and/or engineer I would like to help you enthousiastically with considerations, adoption planning and practical suggestions for advancing your adoption within your organization. Within the context of Microsoft Fabric, coming from Power BI, let’s learn together, and talk more about this technology and see where the fits, and gaps, with requirements, or constraints, could be with organizational culture, people, and roles could be. For the most part I hope to have a meaningfull interaction with the audience, that leaves some footprint inspiration for next steps and dataminded people!

Practicalities
Some familiarity with Microsoft Learn Fabric Adoption Roadmap, and Enterprise documentation, and general concepts on a data driven culture, is nice to have, but not required. In a small workshop-style we gather some information (Mentimeter) about you in the audience, some questions that are top-of-mind & I integrate some questions into the session which generally follows the roadmap, but in 1-2-3 parts we asses where we are, where we could be going to and how we could get there.

Sesion length and extensions
This session can start from 45 minutes and expand even into 120 minutes! That could mean for instance that for the last part I could host and invite a appearing guest panel from the event for a discussion with the audience! The size of the audience could be from a cosy 10 seats, ideally 60 seats to a medium-size hall of 200 seats which would mean less interaction, or panel-setup.
