Session

Transitioning to ADS

Are you currently using Visual Studio for your database deployments? Would you like to have one tool to query data and write code for source control? If so, this may be the session for you!

This session is for developers, database administrators, database engineers, and data architects that want to query and develop database code using the same tools. In addition, if you're someone that has wanted to embrace source control but doesn't was to use Visual Studio, this may be your answer. We will discuss how to can implement or migrate database development to Azure Data Studio (ADS).

At the end of the session, attendees will know how to work with repositories in GitHub, manage database code, and resolve merge conflicts. In addition, attendees will have a general idea of when they can use Azure Data Studio instead of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).

Attendees should be familiar with general concepts about source control.
