You've heard about database deployments, maybe your Developers are pushing to take over your deployment. Whatever the reason, you've heard you can automate database deployments, but you're not sure if you're ready to change your process.

This session is for Database Administrators, Database Engineers, Database Managers, Data Architects, and Developers that want to learn how you can control what is being deployed to your databases and save time! I will discuss how source control can give you the ability to determine what code is included in your deployments. I will also show you how you can design deployment pipelines to determine when and how database code is deployed across environments.

At the end of the session, you will know how to design strategies to manage source control for their databases. You will also know how you can implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines so that you know when and what database code is being deployed to your environments.

To get the most of the session, attendees should understand database schemas and have familiarity with source control.
