ShaderLab - ShaderToy For Grownups

I built and maintain a tool for creating graphical demos using DirectX 12. ShaderLab is an integrated development environment that enables you to build graphical creations using the High-Level Shading Language.

This session will give you a tour of the interface, teach core concepts, and show you how to create, track and publish a demo. We will look at different limited-size optimisations for constricted competition classes, and I'll teach you a little bit of HLSL to get started.

Finally, I give the floor to you to ask questions and share suggestions, and I will leave you with a fresh, never-before-seen demo as inspiration.

By the end, you will have no excuse but to find some friends and join me at a demoparty near you! See you in the compos!

The tool is free, open source, and has no commercial aspects. Therefore, this talk is not a plug. I have no revenue stream associated with the tool.
