I wanted to play and sing every part of one song myself, filmed on my phone, and have all six recordings line up on their own, like a one-person band. No app did that, so I built one in Flutter.

This talk is the honest story of that year. You will see how the app works out where each recording starts, using a classic sound-matching technique written in plain Dart. It lines up all six recordings in under two seconds, right on the phone. Then come the parts nobody shows on stage: my first video export crashed the simulator, a video tool I depended on was shut down halfway through the project, and Gemini refused to give me song lyrics. Gemini was right to refuse, but it still broke a feature I had already built.

You will leave with a realistic picture of how far Flutter can go beyond everyday app screens, and how to build with AI when it says no.
