Stop Trying to Teach a Monkey how to Swim: Leverage the Analytical Coder's Mind to drive growth

How often do you look up to someone professionally and try to imitate their strengths—working on what you perceive as weaknesses in fields in which your “work hero” excels? A frustrating experience, isn’t it?

Overcoming one’s weaknesses to become great at something makes for a great story, but if it’s professional development you’re looking for and not catharsis, working very hard to mimic someone else’s experience might not be the best path for you.

In this session, we’ll understand why taking advantage of our strengths makes more sense, leads to better professional outcomes, and most importantly, generates more satisfaction and happiness from our achievements. We will also learn how to adjust our internal growth plan to amplify our strengths while reducing the impact of our weaknesses.
