Measurement Invariance of an SEL Assessment for Chinese Adolescents

As global interest in SEL expands, there is a need to investigate assessments cross-culturally. This study evaluated the measurement invariance of the Chinese translation of the DESSA High School Student Self-Report (SSR) with 770 Chinese students and a reference group of 664 U.S. students. The factor structure of the model was supported, and the model was invariant at all levels across cultures.
