The EU AI Act 2024: How Copilot and ChatGPT fare

The European Union's new AI Act comes into force on 1 August 2024. This new legislation addresses both the developers of these AI solutions (i.e. Microsoft, OpenAI and others) and companies that (want to) work with Copilot or ChatGPT. The EU AI Act has anchored requirements for the security, transparency and ethical use of AI systems in law. And in any case, the topic of data protection has been extremely present since the upcoming of AI in the workplace. 💡

In this session, we will take a closer look at the impact of the EU AI Act 2024 on the two most common AI solutions, M365 Copilot and ChatGPT. Specifically, I will analyse the 20 most important provisions of the AI Act and assess the extent to which Copilot and ChatGPT meet these requirements. 🤔
