In this session, I will share my personal journey of how JavaScript and Node.js changed my life. Growing up in Zimbabwe I was not exposed to advanced technology but had a keen curiosity and passion to improve user experiences. I arrived in Ireland when I was 10 approx 12 years ago, this was when I got exposed to dynamic websites, applications, and desktop apps, I knew this was the glorious path paved for me, fast forward 12 years I now see the world as objects. I will share my initial encounters with overcoming challenges, key learnings, and the impact on family and career. This talk aims to inspire, educate, and resonate with newcomers and seasoned community professionals.
