Debug and Optimize your (or your AI's) DAX code
In the age of AI-generated code, the human role must be preserved to ensure accuracy and accountability.
At the same time, we cannot ignore the fact that AI can help reduce the time it takes to find a DAX solution to a business problem.
Regardless of how DAX code is obtained, it still needs to be approved and verified for reliability. In this session, we will explore several techniques for debugging DAX code:
- Variables
- DAX Studio
- Tabular Editor DAX Debugger
Once the code is verified for reliability, it needs to be optimized. In this session, we will also explore techniques for identifying performance bottlenecks in the code.
All in practical terms, using a simulation dataset and Power BI Desktop, describing real and common business problems.
