Grateful to Dr. Deepti Sharma, Dr. Amandeep Singh Kalra and Gulzar Group of Institutes for having me, and for this kind post.I spent 90 minutes with the first-year B.Tech students on a simple question: what should you learn in the next 1,460 days, and how?

A few ideas we explored together:📌
→ The job market isn't shrinking, its changing shape. 💠
The WEF expects 170M new jobs and 92M displaced by 2030, and 39% of core skills will change.☁️🌦️
→ AI is a teammate, not a shortcut. We used the A.S.K. rule: Attempt first, Seek hints, not answers, Know why.🧐
→ Be T-shaped. Go broad across coding, maths and communication, and deep in one domain.✍️
→ Fundamentals never expire. Frameworks change every few years. DSA, maths and core systems don't.✍️
→ 1% better every day compounds to about 38x in a year. ✌

What stood out most was the students. They listened closely, asked sharp questions, and the pair-share round was full of real ideas for solving problems in their own city.
