VPN, SSE, GSA, and other myths - Lost in the new networking jungle?! en

For over a decade, cybersecurity experts have said, ‘Identity is the new perimeter.’ Despite significant adoption of the Zero Trust security model, many companies still rely on traditional perimeter networks. Recently, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions have emerged as the new cloud-delivered network perimeters, adding to the confusion. Identity? Network? Cloud? Edge?
This session will clarify these concepts and provide a comprehensive overview of modern cloud datacenter networking, including Network Security Perimeter and Secure Landing Zones, in combination with Security Service Edge solutions like Global Secure Access. Join us to dive into the requirements, dependencies, and implementation implications.

Welcome to the next gen VPN with Microsoft Global Secure Access en de

In the current cloud age, we still encounter classic VPN connections to secure different communication channels. Microsoft has introduced Global Secure Access, a complete Security Service Edge (SSE) solution based on its own global network, which addresses precisely this challenge and is also a real game changer for leaving traditional VPN solutions behind. Global Secure Access is based entirely on Zero Trust principles and combines the functions of Entra Internet Access and Entra Private Access. In this session, we will take an in-depth look at Global Secure Access and its solution and see how easy it is, for example, to fully encrypt M365 traffic securely between the client and M365 and thus prevent stolen tokens from being reproduced, among other things, without any major configuration effort. We will also evaluate the possibilities of private access and look at why classic VPN solutions can become a thing of the past.

Azure Update Manager - The new sheriff for centralized Update Management en de

Do you have heard about the deprecation of the Azure Automation Update Management solution? The Azure Automation Update Management exists since several years and have only limited support for hybrid environments and no integration with Arc. The new Azure Update Center cut off a lot of dependencies (e.g. MMA requirement) and is a full new approach and seamless integrated in Azure Arc.
In this session we dive into the solution, how can this configure, recommendations and pitfalls which you must keep in mind. And we will clarify what a migration can look like and what other restrictions there are.

Azure VM generations evolve rapidly, and staying on older SKUs often means missing out on significant improvements in performance, storage, and networking efficiency. With Azure Boost-enabled v6 SKUs and the latest v7 generation Microsoft is redefining what modern virtual machines can deliver while improving overall price-performance.
In this session, we'll explore why regular VM SKU upgrades should be treated as an operational best practice rather than a one-time migration project. You'll learn what Azure Boost changes under the hood, how technologies such as NVMe and MANA impact performance, and which migration constraints and compatibility challenges you need to consider.
We'll also discuss Microsoft's increasing focus on newer VM generations and what capacity restrictions on older SKUs mean for platform planning.

Azure SRE Agent - From Firefighting to Autonomous Ops en

The Azure SRE Agent it's more than another AI feature. It's an autonomous system that investigates incidents, builds persistent memory from every interaction, and acts within defined guardrails while you're doing something more useful.
In this session we walk through everything that matters before you deploy your first agent: the cross-subscription architecture pattern that keeps agent infrastructure cleanly separated from managed workloads, the identity model and where the agent actually shows up in Entra ID (spoiler: not where most people look), the knowledge and memory system and how to build a runbook repository your agent will actually use, and what it concretely costs — broken down by model choice.
This is a session based on real deployments. You'll leave with a clear picture of where the Azure SRE Agent delivers today, where it still has limits, and how to get started without surprises.
