What is Evidence Based Management?

Evidence-Based Management (EBM) is an empirical approach that helps organizations continually improve customer outcomes, organizational capabilities, and business outcomes under conditions of uncertainty. It provides a framework for organizations to improve their ability to deliver value in an uncertain world, seeking a path to strategic goals. Using intentional experimentation and evidence (measures), EBM enables organizations to systematically improve their performance over the long term and refine their objectives based on better information.

By measuring current conditions, setting performance targets, forming quick little experiments for improvements, measuring the effect of the experiment, and inspecting and adapting targets and next steps, EBM helps organizations consider the best available evidence for make decisions about ways to improve.

This workshop defines what EBM is, its concepts and its application.
