You Don’t Need to Know Everything to Start: A Real Path Into Data with Microsoft Fabric

A lot of people stay away from data because the field looks too big, too technical, and too far away. Too many tools. Too many job titles. Too many things you feel you should already know before you even begin.

This session is for people who are curious about data and Microsoft Fabric, but still think they are not ready yet.
Using Microsoft Fabric as the technical backbone, this session shows a more honest way into data work. Not the polished story told backwards, but the real one: learning while doing, trying things out, getting confused, asking questions, and slowly understanding how the pieces fit together. The session brings together two perspectives: a hands-on technical view on Microsoft Fabric, and a more honest look at what getting started in data really feels like.

You will get a simple view of what Fabric actually is, what problems it helps solve, and where someone can start without needing to understand the whole data world first. At the same time, the session speaks openly about confidence, overwhelm, and why many people wait too long before taking the first step.

You will leave with a clearer picture of Microsoft Fabric, a more realistic view of what “getting started” really looks like, and the feeling that entering the data space does not require perfection before action.
