When Microservices Go South: Lessons Learned from Production Mistakes
Microservices can bring significant advantages, but when not approached with care, they often lead to operational chaos. In this talk, I’ll highlight four common mistakes from real-world production experiences:
* creating microservices that are too small
* designing services that depend synchronously on one another
* building microservices as mere proxies for other services
* relying solely on microservices to solve performance issues
For each of these mistakes, I’ll share how they can quickly escalate into bigger challenges and propose my practical strategies to avoid them.
