Suicidality and African American Women

This research project aims to explore the prevalence, risk factors, and protective factors related to suicidality among African American women. Despite being less frequently studied in the context of mental health and suicidality, African American women experience unique stressors and systemic challenges that may impact their mental well-being. This study is a literature review to provide a nuanced understanding of suicidality in this demographic, ultimately informing culturally sensitive intervention and prevention strategies
