Where are we now with Post Quantum Cryptography?
Back before the lockdown, I spoke a few times about quantum computers, what they might be able to do and how they might affect all our standard cryptography. At that time we were talking about Q-Day being a distant prospect, which may actually never happen. Now, Q-Day isn't just accepted as being possible, most people will tell you it is probable, and still others will tell you that it is likely to happen in the not too distant future.
So when might Q-Day be? What good things might happen? Perhaps more importantly, what bad things may happen and what might we, as technology professionals and thought leaders, have to do about it?
This talk will give a glimpse of what the future may bring, and what you might have to do to get ready for that post quantum future.
