Real Infrastructure as Code with Pulumi

When it comes to Infrastructure as Code (IaC), people quickly think of tools like HashiCorp Terraform or declarative methods for deploying resources like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or AWS CloudFormation.
All these solutions work declaratively, but are not really code in the software development sense.
Pulumi changes that. With the open source Pulumi SDK, resources or infrastructure can be created, built, and managed using languages already in use, such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Go, instead of using vendor-specific languages like HCL.
In this talk we will take a closer look at Pulumi with several examples and highlight the differences and possible advantages or disadvantages compared to solutions like Terraform.
