How to spot AI bros vs. people who understand what they do
Everyone is an AI expert these days it seems. Linkedin and other platforms are full of people that claim to have solved all the problems in the universe with a simple AI prompt. For people making real decisions about investment, hiring, and vendors, that is increasingly a problem.
After enough time working in and around AI projects, being active on Linkedin and giving workshops, i find that certain signals exist that separate people who know what they are doing from people who just have learned the vocabulary or use AI as a buzzword to mask subpar services and quality. The difference is usually significant, and often unfortunately expensive.
We'll review common red flags in AI discussions and how to spot the difference between real technical knowledge and just sounding confident.
No prior technical knowledge needed, but some sarcasm included ;)
